About the skills of using fishing hooks for angling.
The biggest advantage of using a string hook is that after the bait is thrown into the fishing spot, there are bait in all three layers of water (top, middle, and bottom), allowing us to fish different layers of fish at the same time. Although string hooks have the above advantages, they are also easily affected by factors such as temperature, bait, season, and climate, which can make fish reluctant to bite or result in no bites at all. How to change this situation? The author believes that the following methods can be used:
1. Create a fishing spot before fishing: Unlike explosive hooks, which can lure fish while fishing, fish caught using string hooks will gather more and more due to the presence of bait in the fishing spot, even if the bite frequency is low. However, in order to effectively lure fish using string hooks, especially in large and sparsely populated lakes, it is necessary to create a fishing spot by throwing bait. It is unlikely that we can attract and retain a group of fish in the fishing spot with just a small amount of bait on the hook.
2. Difference between morning and evening fishing: Fish have a habit of seeking warmer waters and tend to stay at the bottom of the water in the morning and evening. If fishing with string hooks in the morning, the closer the bait is to the bottom of the water, the higher the chances of fish biting. When there are no bites, fishermen can change the angle of the support according to the depth of the water body and try to keep the bait close to the layer where the fish are swimming. This makes it easier for fish to find the bait and increases the chances of bites.
3. Use suitable bait to catch more fish: String hooks can be used with both vegetarian and carnivorous bait. It is best to choose bait that fish prefer and increase the intensity of the scent, sweetness, or fishy smell to stimulate the fish's appetite and encourage them to bite.
4. Prepare bait and hooks in advance: Using string hooks can be a fun activity, but the tricky part is threading the bait onto the hooks. Fishermen should prepare in advance and have multiple sets of string hooks. When a fish is caught or when changing bait, they can easily replace the bait with the pre-threaded ones and avoid any confusion or rush.
5. Transforming dead bait into lively bait attracts more fish: The best seasons for fishing with string hooks are usually in the late spring, summer, and late autumn when the temperature is relatively high. If fishermen can turn dead bait into lively bait and transform static fishing into dynamic fishing, it can stimulate the fish's appetite and increase the chances of catching more fish
